What you will be able to do
- Run a structured triage that establishes what is on the hair before you commit to anything
- Predict the underlying pigment you will expose at every level and neutralise it deliberately
- Decide correctly between filling, removing and lifting — and know why the muddy result happens
- Test for metallic salts and henna before they turn a service into an incident
- Break a correction into a costed, consented multi-visit plan the client agrees to up front
- Recognise the hair that has no more services left in it and say so
- Keep records that would stand up if a complaint or a claim ever followed

About this course
Colour correction is the highest-risk, highest-value work in the salon, and it is the work most often taken on for a fixed price by someone who has not yet worked out what is on the hair. That is the order the whole course argues with: diagnosis first, plan second, price third, product last.
Ten hours across nine modules, built entirely around the situations that actually walk in — the box dye over highlights, the black that will not shift, the banded regrowth, the blonde with no elasticity left, the henna nobody mentioned until you had already mixed. Each one is worked through as a decision, with the tests that tell you which branch you are on.
It also spends serious time on the two things that keep correction work profitable rather than ruinous: multi-visit plans that clients agree to in advance, and a clear, defensible way of declining work you should not take.

What you need
- No kit required for the course or assessment
- Recommended for practice: an incompatibility test kit (20 vol peroxide and ammonia solution) and a set of test cuttings
- Your salon's current consent form, if you have one — you will rewrite it

Questions
- Is ten hours enough for something this big?
- It is enough to change how you scope and price the work, which is where most of the loss is. It is not a substitute for years at the chair, and the course says so. Correction skill is built on repetition; what this gives you is a decision framework so the repetition teaches you the right lesson.
- Do you cover specific brands?
- Deliberately not. Products change and brand training is free from the manufacturer. What does not change is the chemistry and the decision-making, so that is what we teach — and it transfers to whatever is on your shelf.
- Can I use this to justify charging more?
- You should be charging more for correction regardless, and the pricing module shows the arithmetic. The certificate is useful evidence of advanced CPD when you explain your pricing to a client or your insurer, but the price rise has to be justified by the plan you give them, not by a badge.
- What if I am the person who caused the problem?
- There is a section on exactly that in module 9, including how to handle your own error, what to offer, when to involve your insurer, and why a fast, generous, documented response is almost always cheaper than a slow one.
